Alan Dickinson, Attorney and COO at Clarity Legal Group

Alan Dickinson

With over 20 years of experience as a researcher, educator, trainer, and practicing attorney, Alan Dickinson brings a unique blend of skills to Clarity Legal Group. His practice areas include litigation for Long-Term Care Insurance denials, Special Needs Trusts, Business Succession Planning, and Estate Planning. Alan’s comprehensive approach ensures clarity and peace of mind for clients facing complex and sensitive legal challenges.

Alan is deeply committed to his clients and their families, focusing on creating lasting relationships and guiding them through the intricacies of planning for their futures. His personal experiences have taught him that preparing for life’s transitions is essential to one’s legacy.

Alan is a passionate advocate for individuals with disabilities. He serves on the boards of B3 Coffee and Triangle Autism and Disability Service, organizations dedicated to fostering inclusion and support for people with disabilities. Additionally, Alan contributes to Farewell Earth, a nonprofit redefining how communities approach end-of-life care, ensuring dignity and inclusivity during these significant moments.

In addition to his advocacy work, Alan is an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association and has volunteered his leadership skills with the YMCA of the Triangle, the Council for Entrepreneurial Development, and United Church of Chapel Hill. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Legal Marketing Association’s Advocacy Committee.

Bill Stevenson, Founder and Realtor, Spotlight Realty

Bill Stevenson

Bill, a Triangle resident for over 25 years, moved from Pittsburgh to attend Duke Business School, earning his MBA. He is a top 3% Realtor® in the Triangle and has been named “Best of Durham” by Durham Magazine readers three times.  Bill has also served as the official Realtor® of Duke Athletics.

With a marketing background, Bill’s career includes roles at IBM and Lenovo, where he was Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, leading global entrepreneurship initiatives. He founded Carolina HopeFest and helped start Bull City Forward and Durham Cares.

A long-time Chapel Hill Bible Church member, Bill has served as an Elder and Chairman of the Board of Deacons. He holds a BA in Theology from Grove City College and has lectured on Corporate Social Responsibility at Duke and UNC.

Married for over 30 years to Rebecca Stevenson, a teacher and writer, Bill is deeply involved in community initiatives and youth sports coaching. He has three adult children and four grandchildren.
