Similar to a Section 529 college savings plan, an ABLE Account offers tax advantages for individuals with disabilities. Funds can be used for qualified disability expenses (QDEs), including housing, transportation, assistive technology, education, and medical care. Withdrawals for these expenses are tax-free, and account balances up to $100,000 do not count toward SSI and Medicaid asset limits.
